In this guide, we will see how to manage FTP accounts.

First, go to your trademark control panel, MAGIC or NUXIT.

Recover FTP access

First click on the menu Lodging.

Then go to WEB MANAGEMENT of the accommodation in question.

Web management

The tab TECHNICAL INFO provides the FTP parameters. The data displayed depends on the type of the offer.

The password is not displayed on the interface for security reasons. It is present on the email sent at the creation date of the subscription. To change the password in case of loss, follow this procedure.

The button FTP ONLINE VIA DRIVINFTP allows you to access the different folders and files of the hosting.

Manage FTP accounts

Create an FTP account

Still on the menu Lodging > WEB MANAGEMENT of the accommodation in question.

Go to the section MANAGING YOUR SERVER then click the button FTP ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT.

Some important information to read on the page. Then click on the button ADD FTP ACCESS.

Add ftp access

Enter the root directory, username, password and quota of the FTP user on the new add page. Click on VALIDATE.

The new account is added to the list of FTP users.

Modify an FTP account

Go to the menu Lodging > WEB MANAGEMENT of the accommodation in question.

Follow the section MANAGING YOUR SERVER then click the button FTP ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT. The list of FTP users is displayed. Click on the edit icon.

Modify a master FTP account

The main FTP account cannot be deleted. It is a system user.

Finally, enter the new password and validate.

Change FTP password

For an added FTP access, it is possible to change the pointing directory.

Go to the DrivinFTP area

First click on the menu Lodging.

Then go to WEB MANAGEMENT of the accommodation in question.

The tab TECHNICAL INFO contains the button FTP ONLINE VIA DRIVINFTP. Click on it.

DrivinFTP Space

When adding or moving a single file, it's more convenient to use DrivinFTP than to run your FTP client.

The window that opens will initially display the tree in which the FTP root directory www is present.

DrivinFTP Interface

From this interface, the subscriber can perform the following operations respectively:

  1. Uploading files
  2. Add a file
  3. Add a folder
  4. Logging out of DrivinFTP
  5. Rename a file or folder
  6. Delete a file or folder

Arborescence FTP

  • /www -> The root folder in which to put the content of the hosted websites.
  • /logs -> Contains the logs from l'hAccommodation.
  • /SESSIONS -> Used to store SESSIONS géns website.

These three files must not be deleted, as this could compromise the operation of the from l'hAccommodation.

FTP limit

The maximum size of a file to be transferred to the FTP space is not limited.

Simultaneous connections to the FTP server on shared hosting are limited to 20 connections per FTP login and 100 connections per IP address.

Connecting with an FTP client

Several free and opensource FTP clients can be found on the Internet. We will take the best known, Filezilla which is available for Linux, Windows and Mac OS.
This help link provides more details on the use of FileZilla.

Start by downloading and opening the application.

Then put FTP parameters retrieved from the customer area.

FileZilla Connection

1 -> Host : ftp.p1234.webmo.fr
2 -> Identifier : p1234
3 -> Password The password associated with the FTP account.
4 -> Port : 21
