Plesk : Add an automatic response

In this guide, we will see how to activate an automatic response.

This guide is dedicated only to our subscribers who have subscribed to the former Plesk shared hosting packages (SMART, DISCOUNT, PRO and SECURE).

What is the purpose of an automatic response?

When you go on vacation, you should let your customers know that you will not be reachable for a while.

Add an automatic response

The first thing to do is to go to your customer interface which you will find the link on our this link. Once on it, click on Plesk > My Plesk (Manage my subscription) > menu Mail > Email addresses > Click on the email address in question.

Check the box Enable automatic response. Specify what you would like to have as Purpose of the automatic responsethe Message formatthe Coding and the Text of the automatic response.

Put an address of your choice to which the original message should be forwarded.

You can set the date to disable the automatic response. Finally click on OK.

The automatic reply is in place, you can test sending mail to your address.
