Plesk: Delete my MySQL database

In this guide we will see how to delete a MySQL database from the Plesk interface.

Note

This guide is dedicated only to our subscribers who have subscribed to the old shared hosting Plesk (SMART, DISCOUNT, PRO and SECURE offer).

The first thing to do is to go to your client interface which you can find the link to on our showcase site. Once there, click on Plesk > My Plesk (Manage my subscription) > menu Databases.

Click on the link Delete the database.

Deleting a database from plesk

Confirm by clicking on Yes.

Confirm subdomain removal

The system performs the deletion successfully.

Deletion made

If the link Delete the database is grayed out and you can't click on it, it means that you have installed a CMS (WordPress / Drupal / Joomla / other). Therefore, you cannot delete the database because Plesk does not allow it. You have to uninstall the CMS completely for the database to be deleted automatically.
